Welcome to kerrykkuehn.com. This site is designed as a resource for students, colleagues and friends seeking information regarding my various projects and activities.

My academic interests are primarily in the physics of fluids and in the history and philosophy of science. Recently, I have been focusing on the experimental study of vortex ring dynamics, and on publishing a textbook (tentatively) entitled Physics: A Student’s Guide through the Great Texts. More information on these (and other) projects can be found behind the appropriate left sidebar links.

I am currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Wisconsin Lutheran College. Prior to moving to Milwaukee in 2001, I earned a Ph.D. from the University of California in Santa Barbara. My dissertation work involved the experimental study of heat transport in liquid helium near the superfluid transition. In 2007, I also earned a Synodical Certification for Post-Secondary Education from the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. Please see my curriculum vitae (.pdf file) for a not-so-succinct history of my employment, education and publications.
